We hope that God uses these updates to challenge you to do more for the cause of world missions

Visiting our new church plant

Liberty Baptist Church in Parral held its inaugural service in March of this year. Because of Covid-19 related travel restrictions, we had not been able to revisit this church until earlier this month. During our trip, Lori and I were thrilled to meet several of the new converts who are growing in the Lord. We are so proud to see how God is using the young Chilean pastor and his wife!

Chile Training Center

Over 85 students continue to train for ministry with us this semester. That is by far our record enrollment! Lori is teaching a course named The Pastor’s Wife that she prepared several years ago. I am teaching a Pastoral Administration course. We are most encourage to see six Chilean pastors who are teaching classes as well! This is the ultimate goal. We teach others, so they can also teach others (2 Timothy 2:2).

Buying land for Liberty in Santiago

As churches are opening back up in Santiago, we are holding multiple services at Liberty to hold all those who want to attend! This is always a great problem to have. We continue to pray for the funds to purchase land for this church. Several have given, and others are praying about how God would have them get involved. Will you pray about investing to this need? Any gift can be sent to: Vision Baptist Missions, PO 442, Alpharetta, GA 30009, memo: Liberty Land Chile.

New website

We know you want to be more involved in reaching the world with the gospel. Take a few minutes to visit our new website to learn how you can join the Chile team and help reach Chile and beyond with the gospel in our generation.

Prayer requests

  1. Please continue praying for Katherine Samson, Lori’s mother, as she undergoes chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
  2. Pray for Carlos Fernandez and John Moncada as they continue to lead their young church plants.
  3. Pray God will call more Chileans to the ministry in our end of the year graduation event on December 19th.
