We hope that God uses these updates to challenge you to do more for the cause of world missions

Baptisms at Liberty Baptist in Parral!

Early last year, Carlos Fernandez moved with his young family from Santiago to Parral to launch a church named after his sending church – Liberty Baptist. Planting a church in 2020 proved to be challenging in ways we could have never anticipated. But, through it all, God worked! Souls were saved, young converts were discipled, and Jesus’ name was preached in Parral!
This month, Carlos was privileged to baptize several young Christians who were saved at Liberty Baptist in Parral. It is thrilling to see lives transformed by the gospel in this young church plant!

Creative Camps

Every summer, we host a teen camp and a pastors’ camp, which are usually the highlights of our February. Because of government-enforced COVID restrictions, neither camp was held this year in the traditional way. We did rally together more than 125 teens for 3 days of online classes and services via Zoom. God worked in a mighty way! Several surrendered to full-time ministry and are now making plans to study in the Chile Training Center this year!
Our pastors’ camp was similarly adjusted to a new online format. We had several pastors and missionaries from the USA and Latin America teach challenging workshops to our pastors and their wives. Despite all the unusual times, God is working in Chile! We are trusting Him that 2021 and 2022 will be the most fruitful years of ministry up to this point. Thank you for giving and praying to make it possible.

Colombia, New Missionaries, & Family Milestones

  • Josh, our middle child, started the month in Colombia. He worked to pay his way to survey northeastern Colombia with missionaries Miguel Sanabria and Chestley Howell. Josh returned with a renewed commitment to serve the Lord in missions.
  • Nate and Tara Beil arrived safely in Chile. They are settling in now and will start language school at the beginning of March.
  • February 12th was the 20th anniversary of my first date with Lori! I also turned 40 in February.

New Audiobook!

Unfinished is now available as an audiobook! I got the opportunity to write this book alongside other Vision missionaries working in Latin America. In its pages, you will get to hear stories of changed lives, opportunities and strategies for ministry, as well as how God burdened our hearts for this ripe mission field.

God is continuing to do a great work in Latin America. Click here to download Unfinished
