Vacation Bible School in the Park

Liberty Baptist in Santiago held an outdoor Vacation Bible School in a local park. Because of the COVID restrictions, the government has established a maximum limit of 20 people for any outdoor
gathering. We were hoping to max out the limit and share the gospel with a small group of children. To our surprise, 63 people showed up the first day! Despite not knowing how the local authorities would react to the large group, we moved forward with the activity, preached the gospel, and several children and parents were saved by God’s grace. Thankfully, all the neighbors seemed to be excited that we were organizing something for the community. The second and third days brought similar crowds. Praise the Lord! Pray for us now as we follow-up with these new families.

God has already provided $54,406 for our property for Liberty Baptist! We are thrilled to see how the Lord is providing through many of our supporters. If you would like to give towards our need of $125,000, please send your offering to: Vision Baptist Missions, PO Box 442, Alpharetta, GA 30009, Memo: Liberty Land Fund.

New School Year at the Chile Training Center

Monday, March 1st, marked the start of classes as our two-month summer break came to an end. Mandatory curfew and off-and-on quarantines led us to begin the year with online classes again. Thankfully, these limitations have not slowed our training! This year we added another morning of classes, bringing our total to 20 hours of class a week! Currently, 81 young men and women are training for ministry. Please be praying for us as we continue to lead this ministry for God’s glory.

We are also launching a church-planting internship program for several of our young graduates. The goal is to provide them with on-going training and practical experience as they prepare to plant a church in the near future. In the months to come, we will also be building a third floor at the Chile Training Center to house more students.

Emergency Eye Surgery

In the last days of February, I began to see multiple flashes of light and hundreds of floaters in my right eye. Lori and I scheduled an immediate doctor’s visit which led to emergency surgery to repair a detached retina with multiple tears. The first couple of weeks in March, I was limited to a face-down position both day and night. Thankfully, God blessed the recovery process. My vision has nearly fully returned and should be back to normal in the coming months.
