PREACHING TO THE MASSES
Usually, when you think of “preaching to the masses,” this photo is not what comes to mind! However, this is exactly what we did in July. God gave us the opportunity to convert one of the Chile Training Center classrooms into a temporary broadcasting studio for our annual “Our Generation Youth Congress.” Our nightly services and morning sessions were streamed directly from this room into the homes of hundreds across Chile. Although we would have preferred the in-person dynamic, we are taking advantage of technology and the COVID-19 pandemic to challenge a generation of Chileans to give their lives to follow Jesus.
Missionary David Gardner was our main speaker for the Youth Congress. Several of the Chilean pastors led practical morning workshops. I was honored to preach the last night of the Congress. Several of the pastors’ wives taught sessions for the young ladies. This conference was another wonderful reminder of the blessings of working alongside a team of missionaries and local pastors. We praise the Lord for giving us this privilege!
WE’RE BACK TOGETHER AT CHURCH!
The Chilean government has ever so slightly loosened the restrictions on public gatherings. Now our churches can host up to 20 people per service! While this might not seem like a big step, we thoroughly enjoy seeing our church family face-to-face again. Because of the growing congregation and the limited capacity, we are holding multiple services on Sundays and during the week. Souls are being saved, and believers are growing! Praise the Lord!
God willing, we will purchase land in the coming months for Liberty Baptist Church. In July, several of our supporters gave toward this project, bringing our total to $75,530. Please pray and consider giving for this need! All offerings can be sent to: Vision Baptist Missions, PO Box 442, Alpharetta, GA 30009, Memo: Liberty Land Fund.
