Chile Training Center Classes 

Classes at the Chile Training Center started back up in March. Despite graduating a record number of students in December 2021, we were encouraged to see over 50 students enrolled to prepare for ministry this semester! One of our new students is Sebastian. He surrendered to God’s calling on his life after our youth camp in February. He is a member of Cross Baptist Church, where John Moncada is the pastor. John was sent out of our church, Liberty Baptist in Santiago, in 2020 to plant Cross Baptist! It’s thrilling to see young church planters preparing the next generation of church planters! That is what missions is all about! 

Encouraging Trip to Argentina 

In mid-March, I crossed the Andes Mountains into Argentina with my son Joshua and our missions intern, Dylan Moore. We had the privilege of visiting several Vision Baptist Missions’ missionaries in 2 cities over 6 days. In Buenos Aires, we visited Patrick Henry’s church and spent several days with Stephen Underwood. Patrick’s church continues very strong even while he is on furlough. Stephen and I were able to survey an area where he plans to start a church in the next couple of months. While in Rosario, I was able to preach at Victory Baptist (pictured to the right). Shawn Bateman planted that church a few years ago, and God is blessing that work greatly. They saw 3 people saved the Sunday we were with them! Robert and Emma Becker have recently arrived in Argentina to work with the Batemans while they learn the language. Although the team in Argentina continues to grow, there is still an incredible need in this country for more missionaries. Pray for laborers! 

Prayer Requests and Praises 

1. God has provided all the funds we need for the Parral, Chile Church Plant! Praise the Lord! Thank you for praying and giving.
2. We have made an offer to buy a piece of property for Liberty Baptist Church in Santiago. Please pray that the owners will accept and that God will open the doors. We have been praying about and working on this project for several years!
3. In 2015, we launched Liberty Baptist in Santiago with Francisco Barra. He has served faithfully in this young church since its founding. This month, he announced that God is leading him to plant another church. The Barras will be the 5th family sent out of Liberty Baptist in 6 years! To God be the glory!
