College retreat focused on eternity

Last month, I was invited to speak several times during a three-day college and career retreat on the outskirts of Santiago. The retreat’s theme was Live like a Pilgrim. With God’s help, we studied the scriptures, and I preached about living the crucified life in light of eternity. During the retreat, several souls were saved and over a dozen surrendered to full-time ministry! I can honestly say this was one of the most fruitful retreats I have ever been a part of in Chile. Praise the Lord!

Teaching, witnessing, discipling, and leading music – Updates on Joshua and Andrew

Growing up on the mission field provides wonderful opportunities to learn and grow! Our two sons, Joshua and Andrew (ages 17 and 15), were born and raised in Santiago, Chile. They both speak English and Spanish fluently, and, by God’s grace and their mother’s influence, they both love Jesus! We have never forced them to serve in ministry, but we have always encouraged them to love God, the Bible, and the local church. Lori and I are thrilled to see them teach children’s classes, share the gospel, disciple new believers, and preach short devotionals in church services. In addition, Joshua has learned to play the guitar and leads the congregational music. Many of these opportunities would not have been possible if they had not been raised in a church-planting environment on the field! For this, I am thankful! To God be the glory.

Prayer Requests

1. Chile voted last year to rewrite its constitution. On September 4th, Chileans will vote to accept or reject this new constitution. Many articles in the new constitution are concerning. Please pray for the vote and for possible riots afterward.
2. Missionary Kason Bloom will be speaking at a special youth camp in Chile at the end of the month.
3. Continue to pray for property for Liberty Baptist Church in Santiago. We should have news soon!
